About Yoga in the Park (YIP)
The YIP Initiative is a small collective of young Yoga Teachers and Yoga enthusiasts intent on bringing the practice outdoors and accessible to anyone regardless of age, race, and income status. YIP hosts weekend Yoga classes in Fort Tryon Park-NYC during the warmer months of April thru October. The open level park classes are held every Sunday at 10:30 am and are taught by a rotation of volunteer certified Yoga Teachers. YIP strives to foster a sense of community that is often lacking in our busy City, so after each class we invite you to stick around and meet your fellow neighboor, picnic, relax and enjoy the outdoormanship.
